Vibrations!!!!!!!!

Had a "B" motor rebuilt, (counterweighted crank), everything new, plus dynamically balanced.Couldn't wait to get it installed and drive a smoother running 21 std coupe.Well I'm a little disapointed.It's nowhere near as smooth as I expected.I relaced the rear motor mount rubbers and the front motor mount springs.Could a worn universal joint add vibration?I removed the fan belt and drove a short distance to see if water pump/fan asssembly (not new) could be causing my problem.Vibration is not too bad up to 40 mph. But from there up it seems excessive.It is especially pronounced on decelaration from 50 mph.It is accompanied by an accostic sound I can only descibe as a "drumming" sound.It all adds up to a major detraction from the enjoyment of our "baby".If anyone out there has had similar experiences and can lend any suggetions we'd really appreciate it.
