A friend of mine bought a couple of hinge pin mirrors and when he went to install them, discovered that the original hinge pins were completely stuck in the hinge at the top (corroded swedge fit?).In frustration, he ended up drilling the things out, but the job was a little sloppy because the drill bit didn't run especially true. What amazed me was that even though he had drilled out the swedged part at the top of the pin, the pin still didn't want to come out -- and he is not shy with a larger hammer. So, is there a tried and true method of removing the pins?I have some rust along the bottom of my doors that I really need to work on, and would prefer the doors off the car to weld in some patches.
