Testing Model B Condensors

I have an engine that runs rough and has little power, so I suspect, among other things, that I may have a bad condensor on my B engine in a 1930 Coupe. My question is, can a used condensor be checked with a volt-ohmmeter, and if so how, and what would the readings be for a brand new one compared to the used one if the used one is bad? Thanks..
