Ain't gots no books but have adjusted many a A's with juice.

The juice brake system isn't leverage biased as the mechanical system. With the mechanical's the rears have an leverage advantage over the front making the rear easier to apply, hence the stick method.
The juice's advantage is determined by piston area with respect to the master piston's. These are normally biased for greater power for the front by design of the piston areas.
I've always adjusted them to where the shoes start two drag and back-off a few notches for all the wheels, test lock up on a gravel parking lot and adjust for straight line braking.
The rears still lock up first.

I've not personally done a conversion or have I paid too much attention to the design of one but now you got me to wonder if the typical conversion has the bias via the piston areas.
