Positive vs Negitive Ground-Consequences

I just learned that while I was out of town my son incorrectly connected (negitive ground) the battery on my 1930 Town Sedan.
He apparently cranked the car several times with this reversed hookup.The battery, which I found disconnected, is completely dead.My question is what other consequences can I expect from his incorrect hook-up?Can I expect damage the generator or other components of the electical system?
