During a moment of weakness in 1986 I bought a 1937 Dodge. The mechanics and drive train were fine, the body a shade better than excelent and the price was good. The ammeter showed constant discharge, and one of the first things I did, (after tires) was check the grounding of the battery. That appeared to be the culprit and I drove the car as my main vehicle for a year, summer and winter with no problems. It was about a year later I ran into the guy who sold it to me, and he asked if I was ever able to get the car to charge. He had owned it for nine years and he said he had replaced the generator, and other electrical parts, including the battery several times and his buddies had offered plenty of free advice as to how to get it to charge, all to no avail.

The point is it took about an hour on Dale's board to help Joe take care of what my former Dodge owners pals couldn't do in several years.

God speed under 50 with a positive ground.

Tom, out of Lansing.

What a country!!!
