I too would prefer to keep as many old cars original as possible to save the history of cars. However hotrods of the 50s - 60s are and allways will be part of automobile history. So it is just a different point of view. I can understand that someone whould like to 'preserve history' by making a hotrod. And as Carla said owners have a right to do what they want. And as I understand it they want to use an original car because it is just not then same with new replacement parts. Lastly I think it is a good thing that an original chassis has become available. Just think there is a lonely Model A body out there somewhere that can now be made whole again.
