What you said did go through my mind when I spouting off. But I was not talking about people who want a modern street rod. Many people (mostly men) who where raised in the 50s and 60s wanted a rod back then but were either too young or did not have the money. A lot of thoes guys now are in their 40s - 60s and have both money and time. There is also something called a mid-life crisis which is attacts men in the same age group. So some of these guys want to recapture their youth by doing what they could not do when they were young. For some of these guys it is important to make a rod that is just like the one that they wanted when they were young. Some people that restore Model As do not want to use a repo part even if it is just like the original because they will know that it is not original. So to each her/his own.
