Front spring assembling

I am about to reassemble my front spring and I'm recieving conflicting information, It has been recommended that I put one of the following between the leaves oil, felt, grease, tefalone tape & absolutley nothing. Can anybody out there tell me what they are using and if it cuts the squeaking Thanks Frank
