Lighting system for 1929 Tourer.

Has anyone out there got a 'detailed' diagram of how the lighting switch (at the base of the steering column) operates?Ours has far too much 'play' in it, and the original manual that we received from the owner, was half eaten away by the mouse plague last year. We have high and low beam - I've managed to get that working, but the tail light refuses to switch off ! What position does the switch on the steering wheel have to be in - when you're re-assembling the switch housing at the base of the steering column? Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.!!!
