Kinda difficult to do, especially w/ commercial vehicles. I was going to suggest checking your splash aprons, but the commercials kept the two-piece apron & board. Hmm, Look for overlapping features, like the dash panel (oval or round speedo) Radiator shell styles (seems to me there were two commercial styles in '30/31) If your car is unaltered, you may be able to find one or two features that would only overlap in production for a month or two. Typically body production/vehicle assembly fell behind engine production--although this varies from month to month. For instance, my '30 sport coupe has a March engine, but signs of being assembled in Calif. in June. ( I figured this out decades ago and have now forgotten what details told me that, sorry!).
