Hi Bobby,
I had read somewhere that the date stamped on the firewall was done when the body was assembled rather than when the car was assembled. If this is the case, it would also preceed car assembly.

: Well, to echo what David said, I would *suspect* that the truck's build date followed the engine build date by a month or so.It is probably dependent on where the car itself was built.For instance, my '31 deluxe tudor, which was built at the Houston plant, has a mid june date (on the engine) but the date stamped on the firewall is 7-23-31, which I assume is the date that the car was built.

: I know that the judging rules allow a time window, but I cannot remember for what span of time.Maybe Marco or someone else will clarify this.
