: Hi folks, For those who are interested.I removed the petcock from my gas tank last evening.The interior is badly scored and even with it shut off, I can easily force air through it with my mouth.I'll be refurbishing and installing it possibly this weekend.I feel pretty confident that if I can stop the gas at the tank, it will stop the drip at the carb and finally stop the complaining about the garage smelling like gas!
