: I have an older Johnson Messenger 123A 23 channel CB radio I would like to install in my 30 coupe with 12 negative ground system. The radio is a nice small unit.Does anyone have a simple way to permanently mount the radio either on the steering column or the floor?Any antenna hookup hints would be appreciated too.Thanks.

The way I installed mine was to mount on the right kick-panel cardboard (on its side).I put a mike mount usisng the dash panel screw and the mike sits where I can easily reach it.I used a 48" antenna mounted on the left rear bumper clamp bolt - used the supplied mount but drilled a hole in it to mount on the bolt. This set up works fine and is alot easier to live with than a 9' antenna!
