Service Brake Adjustment

Does anyone have a favorite method of adjusting the service brakes on a Model A Ford that may give the best brakes? I've tried the 60-40 system that was in the Restorer a while back,the brakes don't seem near as good as equal adjustment on all four wheels. Any really good adjustment system out there? Thanks....
