Transmission Noise - Follow Up

Follow up to message posted 7/2/98 Transmission was replaced and noise is eliminated. Upon tear down of old transmission no noticable problems are evident. All bearings and shafts are new. Gears are not, but are all good to excellent shape.People other than myself have inspected the parts and we're stumped. Any body have any ideas besides a BOAT ANCHOR. Thanks, Duane
