Bill,

You weren't clear on whether you were familiar with the original configuration.I included images that may help. This image shows the two brackets originally used. The curved support brace is A-41371-B.It was forged steel and riveted to the curved inner panel with the usual waffle set rivets. This is Brattons A-1401 as mentioned by Dave (although the new is probably cast aluminum).

The rear vertical bracket is taller corresponding with the taller rear panel of the '28-29 roadsters and '30-31 coupes and roadsters. It appears the only one available new is the tall version. It should be easily shortened from the top by lengthening the the corner cuts (with hacksaw and files if necessary) and rebending and drilling the three flanges.

Note that the curved panel is formed near the top of the support brace.
