leaking Tilotson Carb

I rebuilt my Tilotson carb last winter and now it leaks terribly. It was ok when I first put it on but now a few months later it leaks wicked bad!Is there any solution other than upgrading to a new Zenith?I am afraid to tighten the screws with the pot metal body too much. WE used new gaskets and all new kit parts. The carburator work so well I am reluctant to part with it. Thanks for the help, ED
