Scott,I would try the stop leak first.My experience is to stay away from shops not familiar with old rads.If you send it out instruct them clearly to pressure test at a very low pressure,maybe 3 to 5 pounds,or else you can rupture the tubes.I sent a rad to a shop that said they couln't fix it. The rad looked mint but had a leak,I used a stopleak and been running it for 6 years.Occasionally it weaps due to vibration,and I add some more leakstop.Ted
