"The Equalizer" - front wedge bolt

I noticed an ad in THE RESTORER for "The Equalizer," a custom designed front wedge bolt that somehow allows both front shoes to contact the drums at the same time thus producing an equal braking pressure to both drums.Has anyone out there in Model
A Land had any experience pro or con with this part?Any comments would be appreciated.By the way the cost is $35.00 for a pair of these wedge bolts.
