Firewall Question?

It's amazing how many man made holes can develope over 68 years!The original 30 sedan firewall that is on the car today
has an area on the right side that was butchered when cut up for the heater to go thru.Because of this I found a better firewall,but that too also has extra holes that appear to serve no original intent.On the original firewall left side 3/4 up the wall are two holes with square nuts and old screws.They are spaced verticle at 5 inches on center.The second replacement wall has three holes in the same general area,two side by side on the bottom and one spaced 5" above again verticle. What did get mounted to this area? It is difficult to locate a good photo or diagram of an original 30 firewall,although I found a partial view of the left side of a 30 coupe on page 99 How to Restore Your Model A volume#5.It looks like I have a lot of extra holes to patch. Any comments?
