: My 1930 Tudor has a keyed door lock handle on the passengers side. The drivers door has no keyed lock, which I understand is original design.Does the drivers door, lock from inside the car ? I would like to replace the door handles and locks.

Tim, Towards the back edge of the door from the door handle you should find a knob or the lever that a knob threads on that locks the drivers side door. When you get out of the car you slide the knob to the rear and close the door. It's locked. One reason as told to me was that because all roads back then were two way. The passenger always got out on the curb side of the car. The driver would get out, lock his door by sliding the knob, go over and do the gentlemanly thing and help his lady passenger out of the car and lock that door with the key, thus not putting himself at risk from traffic.
