Thank you carla *I will look & see tonight if their is water in the oil *I Don't know if their is a main bearing seal *I will look & see if their is evidance of water *I don't know to take up the play in the crank *Their is a 1/4" hole at the bottom of the bell This was my 1st run in it. My Grandfather would take it every quarter/year to his model A meetings. He was planning on taking it for a 150mi ea. way trip before he passed away last month. After I parked the truck I took off the radiator cap to check the level, water was still circulating after I turned off the engine. It was not boiling, But was about 2" lower then full from when I started out. The next morning On the garage floor the oil and water was mixed approx. 80%water & 20%oil the oil was in a paisley patern. I drained the radiator from the engine end of the lower tube into a bucket and teir was'nt any oil mix in the water. This is all I know for now and will fill you in with what I find tonight. Thank for the interest. |
