Yes, that is the collar I was talking about. The needle bearing inner race is a press fit on a new shaft and the directions suggest using loctite on the inner race. Guess it is a combination of the press fit and loctite that replace the collar. I also took off my original fan in place of the six blade fan, which is only a few bucks more than the aluminum fan. One of members told of horror stories at one of our recent meetings with using the orginal fan on a driver car.
Where in Gods Country do you live? I spent my childhood in Ridgefield and my Dad still lives there.
