Hi Kevin,
The installation of the needle bearing does not require removal of the impeller. The shaft with impeller is put into the housing and after some measurments are taken the inner race is pressed/loctited to the shaft. Then the outer race is installed into the pump housing. I can sanil mail or FAX a copy of the instructions if you'd like. Also make sure the impellor is pinned to the shaft as some of the ones available on the market are not.
