novice jitters

Herb is out in the carport, happy as if he had good sense, with his newly purchased 31 A pickup.I'm in here checking out chats and suddenly have this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.There is so much to know.Will we live long enough to see our project completed?It's in pieces, more or less complete.While there is value in learning things the
hard way, I think we would be well advised to get some good basic advice.What books, sources, sites, etc. should we start with?
