: Herb is out in the carport, happy as if he had good sense, with his newly purchased 31 A pickup.I'm in here checking out chats and suddenly have this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. There is so much to know. Will we live long enough to see our project completed? It's in pieces, more or less complete. While there is value in learning things the
: hard way, I think we would be well advised to get some good basic advice. What books, sources, sites, etc. should we start with?

A good source of information and advise can be had from people you meet at Model A Clubs, run into at swap meets, etc.Another source is read, read, read. The Model A Club of America has put out a five volume series of books "How to Restore Your Model A".These books can be purchased from suppliers such as Bratton`s or Snyder`s.I got all five volumes and I feel they are well worth the price.Another source is to get a hold of a printing of the Service Bulletins that were put out by Ford during Model A days. These show the changes that were made during the years of Model A production. There is a bound book available from suppliers, such as mentioned above or, you can get a loose leaf bound reprint of the Ford Service Bulletins from the Model A Restorer`s Club in Dearborn,Michigan. This is an accurate reproduction of the bulletins from the type of paper used and even the 3 ring binder is a repro of the original as sent out by Ford. The bound book has all the info but, is printed smaller and a little hard to read. The reproduction is of original size and lays flat on the desk when you`re reading it.There are more good books available and I hope these help you out.
