Sam Houck has sold M & S and the "new guy" (Vern) has redesigned the
shocks to be internally sealed with a filler "just for show".
He's a good guy and he'll surely fix your ailing shock for
little or nothing, under the circumstances. The life of front
shocks seems to be a rough one. I, too, had vintage M and S
shocks all around and first one, then the other, front shock
died. This was back in Sam's days, and he fixed 'em free. Vern
may too. M and S also sells reconditioned originals, or will
repair your originals, but again, living on the front of a
Model A is a tough life. They won't last forever. I do
believe that this new design of Vern's is superior, however.
