Pitted Wheels

Does anyone know of an easy way to fill the pit marks in wheels. I have some Model A and AA wheels that have pitted over the years. Some are very small [ pencil point] pits and others have depressions the size of a pencil eraser. I'd be interested in hearing of different methods of filling or repairing these.Thanks once again!
