Oil leak.....advice please!

I am driving a 1930 Closed Cab. I have 250 miles on an engine that was rebuilt around 1987. Oil seems to be coming from the front of the oil pan. Can I drop the pan and put in a seal? I need schooling on this one! Tell me what you guys know!!!Help!!
