I have a book named "The Ford Model, As Henry Built It".
It listed your engin number being build in Jun. of 1931.But, what if the engine has been replaced???They were supposed to stamp the serial number of the engine on the chassis when the engine was installed on the chassis. If so it should be located on the top of the left frame near the clutch pedal. However, using this is not a good way to set manufacture date because of the long wait (sometimes) from engine manufacture till installation. But, for you the vehicle does sound like a '31.

: I recently bought a Model A pickup that was licensed as a 1930, in Missouri. It has a wide bed, a recessed firewall and from what I have found out from talking to others, I believe the truck is a 1931.
: The motor number is A4703766.If this was made in 1931, does anyone know what month?I will also need to convince the Kansas Highway Patrol it is a 1931 before they will correct the paper work.Where can I find a book that list the motor numbers? How can I prove the truck is a 1931?
: Thanks for your help.
