Restoring 1931 Model A Ford

I recently inherited my grandfather's prize 1931 Model A Ford that is in almost perfect condition except for the chrome, paint and very minor rust.I'm in college and will be working on it this summer.Since I have never done this before does anyone have any helpful hint on do's and don'ts as I begin the task that my grandfather always wanted to do but couldn't because of his health.
