Mike,
You say that you have juice to the coil and the points. I would make sure that you are getting a spark from the coil. Remove the high voltage wire from the middle of the distributor cap and set it so that it is about 1/4" from a good ground (head nut is a good ground) then with the igintion on and the points closed (you may have to use the crank to rotate the engine until the points are closed) use an insulated screwdriver and open the points with the screwdriver. You should see a apark jump from the end of the wire to the ground (head nut). There will also be a less noticeable spark across the points. If you are not getting a spark then your coil is bad or you have an open or shorted circuit. If you do get a spark then it is either you distributor cap, rotor, body (the black plastic like thing that the spark plug connectors connect to) or the connectors. Of course this assumes that you have the original type set up. You can clean the rotor and the contacts on the inside of the distributor body and make sure that the spark plugs have good connections to the distributor. One last thought if the timeing is set really bad then when the points open the rotor may not be pointing at one of the four contacts on the distributor body, this can be checked when you check for a spark at the coil.

Good Luck
Bob
