Bryan,
Check to see you are putting it all together as original. The inside lock slide goes on the driver door, not the passenger. The outside keyed handle goes on the passenger door. The plain outside handle goes on the drivers side. The latch inside the passenger door does not have the guts to work with the slide. In Model A days, the car was locked/unlocked entered/exited from the curb (passenger) side.

: I purchased a door lock for my 28 tudor (inside), it bolts in with two screws, and does slide back and forth a little, but it does not lock, how does this lock work, or what am i missing inside the door. Door handles are installed and work fine one locking an one non locking. I have read every manual I can get my hands on, I cant find any info about this. This car was purchased disassembled so I dont know how it originaly worked.
