I installed a new battery yesterday. It turns over with the about the speed same as the old battery. I will try the WD-40 tip from Fred 1st, as well as re-gapping everything. I'm not sure how to check generator charging rate, but I do have a mechanic friend here in town who has owned some Model T's, & A's, who I will talk to. I really appreciate the help from you all, and will keep you posted to my progress. Thanks!
