Mr. chauvin has given you good advice in regards to the battery. You may be like me (I hope not) in that I need more detail and a bit more direction. I have found that doing a search on this Board gets you a lot of information.
I went to the search and found an electrical discertation by bob johnson which i believe is extremly thorough. Do the same thing and perhaps you will get additional helpful data.
The Model "A" mechanics hand book talks about your issue as well and it starts at the battery and works forward. If you don't have a copy get one and you'll be grateful for the rest of your Model "A" life.
