Scott,First off,let me say that Ford never used the term C engine, but most hop up folks use this term to refer to a 32-34 B 4 cylinder that has a factory counterbalanced crankshaft and a correspondingly lighter flywheel. Not all B engines are counterbalanced. Most B heads(with 3 bolt waterpump) have a letter C cast in them. All B engines have 2" diameter mains and 1.875"dia. throws, with oil pressure to the mains.

: A friend of mine has a model a and says the engine is a model c engine. The car seems to run a lot smoother than any other model a car I have ever rode in.What exactly is is a model c engine? Thanks!
