The important thing here is to determine what size your rack is! This will determine the 'footprint' of your trunk.

If you have the "fold in the middle" rack, the black stamped steel rack used from 1928-1931, your choices are greater because the top is flat and smooth.

If you have the deluxe rack that hinges from the rear and folds up in one piece, chrome with wood slats on the underside, it has a lip around the edge that the trunk must sit into. Thus, you can't go larger than the opening, which is around 13" x 34" if memory serves me correctly.
