Boil over

My 30 tudor with a pressurized system (4lb) occasionally will through out about a gallon of water when driving along. No particular type of driving will cause this, how ever it seems to be worse under a load ie: going up a hill, When our club was going over Loveland Pass in Colorado a couple of weeks ago I lost about 1 1/5 gallons and heated up. I replaced the water and it worked o.k. the rest of the way home. Suggestions from club members range from a higher pressure cap to going back to a stock system. I don't have a overflow container. Any ideas out there???
