vacuum windshield wiper

I have a 1929 Canadian built for export roadster.It has a Trico British made vacuum windshield wiper motor with a single shaft that mounts thru the windshield frame with a single hole.Also the intake manifold has the vacuum hole molded into it , in addition to a peg for the throttle linkage as this car is right hand drvie.I have been told that Ford did not use a vacuum motor on 1929 cars is this correct????
