G'Day Jim,
Just to add to what Bob said, the brass fitting on the rear of the water pump is fitted to prevent overgreasing. The cup must be unscrewed, filled with grease then screwed back on. If the pump hasn't been greased for a while you'll need to do this a couple of times to get the grease through to the bush.

: You can get an alemite adapter from any of the supply houses to work on the conical fittings.

: The water pump should use waterPROOF grease if it's a stocker. This because the cooling fluid isn't sealed from the bushing, and you don't want the grease to get washed out.

: In my case since I'm interested in a driver, I've replaced ALL the fittings with zerks.
