Hi Dean.I took new reproduction tubes, cut off the rubber stems and installed the repro metal ones from A&L and just followed the directions.I've had them in place for over 15 years.Only one has ever needed to have air added in all that time!
I just took my time and followed the instructions to the letter.Also check the inside of your tires for rough spots, and make sure you put a new flap on the inside covering the spoke ends.
