Dean,
If you are referring to the tailpipe clamp at the frame rail, there should be no rattle!The original tailpipe retained nearly it's full diameter throughout the bends.The original clamp is in full contact with the tailpipe when mounted and is fairly tight.
When you combine a replacement muffler assembly with a replacement clamp....well, you know the story!It's just time to get creative and make or modify parts until all function correctly.
