S/W Town Sedan

Hello Everyone,

I have one piece of wood left to install on my top wood kit in my 160-B Town Sedan. You guessed it, the header.I have been told many different things on how to get the piece in.I talked to a body guy today that said he could get it in there with some cutting and rewelding but he said to ask everyone I knew before we went ahead with that. So, do you need to do cutting and things? If so, what is the best method? We thought you could probably cut the front supports just below the rain gutter and tip it forward, slide in header and reweld. The wood would burn a bit but not too much.Any thoughts??
Second question. The body on my car is in great shape. However, the top two hood pieces are somewhat pitted from rust.My body guy suggested maybe buying new pieces since the hood is something always looked at.However, I cannot find any parts house that supplies just the top pieces, all sell the complete 4 piece hood. Many vendors get their hoods from Rottlieb and even in their catalog you have to get the 4 pieces. My next thought would be to look at a swap for those two pieces. What are the chances of finding them in good shape??Should I maybe just bite the bullet and get all new 4 pieces??Does anybody know where you can get just the two pieces new??Any help is greatly appreciatted.

Thanks,
Brad
