Not to berate the point, but with new tires, you should be able to mount them without the use of a tire iron. The trick is to use lubricant and to get the tire bead down in the drop center. I put the wheels on a rug on the floor, outside down and work from the back side.
It is hard to tighten lugs without some chipping. Some recommend not painting the recess that the lugs tighten into. It is also important to get quality lug nuts, as some are made wrong. The first 1/8" of the lug nut hole should be bored out to the outside thread diameter, in other words the threads shouldn't start for the first 1/8".This is because the studs aren't threaded all the way to the bottom.
