Front and Rear Spring Rebuild

OK -- here goes the first of many questions as I start the frame of resto of my 30 CC Pickup.
I sandblasted each leaf of the front and rear springs and have a few questions.
1. What is the best way to fill in the deep pits along the edges?Is plastic filler ok or will it have problems due to the flexing of the springs?
2. There is noticeable wearing on the top side of most of the leafs where the leaf on top rubbed.The outline of the ends of the top leaf is worn into the lower leaf.Should I be concerned about this and if so how best to repair it.
3. What is the best long term solution to prevent squeaks?Teflon strips, webbing, plastic under the ends ?????
