: Ted:
: Dan also in Calgary here. Sounds like it could be out a tooth, probably retarded as higher rpms usually like a more "radical" advanced cam timing. I've a question for you. Where can I get some 600W tranny or rear end lube?? Also, who in town can replace kingpin bushings?
: Thanks.

: : I have just installed a new cam gear.It is the standard gear.Backlash is .007".I tried a .003" oversize and it was to tight.

: : I have timed the car and am having trouble with it missing at high revolutions - about 35 mph in 3rd gear.I am going to put in a new condensor to see if that eliminates the problem.

: : While doing the timing, I found that the distance between the rotor tip and the distributor body is .080" or more!Is this a critical problem? The rotor is relatively new.Should I replace the distributor body?Any suggestions?

Dan,
I checked the setting of the cam gear on the crankshaft and it is good.I retimed it and will take it on a longer run today. The problem has only arisen when the car is hot.

Oil can be acquired from two places. The easiest is The Old Car Center at 3004 Ogden Road S.E.Call Louie at 266-3383.The other supplier is George Moir in Stony Plain. He stocks virtually all the A parts you could ever need. His number is (403) 963-7334.

Re:kingpin bushings.Try Alberta Chrome. They have done lots of work for club members.Did you check to see if your axle is correctly aligned? It must be to ensure good steering.Bill Davidson, another club member, has a tool for checking the axle.

Give me a call at 282-9369.
