Ted: Dan also in Calgary here. Sounds like it could be out a tooth, probably retarded as higher rpms usually like a more "radical" advanced cam timing. I've a question for you. Where can I get some 600W tranny or rear end lube?? Also, who in town can replace kingpin bushings? Thanks. : I have just installed a new cam gear.It is the standard gear.Backlash is .007".I tried a .003" oversize and it was to tight. : I have timed the car and am having trouble with it missing at high revolutions - about 35 mph in 3rd gear.I am going to put in a new condensor to see if that eliminates the problem. : While doing the timing, I found that the distance between the rotor tip and the distributor body is .080" or more!Is this a critical problem? The rotor is relatively new.Should I replace the distributor body?Any suggestions? : Ted Lobley |
