Main Bearings

My rebuild is almost complete on my '28 AR engine, and I find out my machine shop, in central Ohio can't deal with the Babbit style main bearings.
I can't leave the old ones in with all those bright shiny new, and expensive, parts.
Does anyone know of a modern type bearing which could be used instead?
