glass instalation headache!

We spent 2 hours putting one new piece of glass in a front door of my 31 slantwindow 4door.The inner door is covered with much sheet metal, clearance is tight, and you gotta work blind. The top of the door does not come off either. This is a real stumper, there has to be a better way or a secret! Anybody have a better way to get the other front door glass in besides the pray-curse-cry &sweat way?Help!!!
